Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) We investigated relationship between individual difference in range of stereoscopic screen disparity without discomfort and viewers’ visual function. The results show that viewers whose comfort range is large in the convergence side tend to also have large comfort range in the divergence side. Viewers’ visual acuity, exophoria, and convergence and divergence limit of binocular fusion are correlated with individual difference in the comfort range. These findings can be utilized for screening viewers for stereoscopic viewing and customizing stereoscopic images for each individual viewer. Moreover, this can contribute to clarify what causes visual discomfort by stereoscopic images.
