Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Many hemodialysis patients undergo a plastic surgery to form the arterio-venous fistula (AVF) in their forearm to improve the blood access. The issue of AVF is the stenosis caused by the disturbance of blood flow. For assisting the stenosis diagnosis, the automatic auscultation system has been developed, however, the efficiency of the system is not always high. One of the reasons is the lack of the procedure for finding where the stenosis locates along the veine. In this study, for establishing the procedure and improving the stenosis assessment, the principal component analysis (PCA) was used to extract the stenosis signal and estimate the stenosis location. Using the several causes of the stenosis signal, the correlation of the stenosis location which were estimated by PCA and confirmed by angiography was investigated. The maximum regression coefficient was 0.315 and the significant estimate of stenosis location was realized.
