| Abstract(in English) | Cryptography is an indispensable technology to construct safe and secure information-driven society, and systems including cryptographic software or hardware (i.e., cryptographic embedded systems) are now integrated with many commercial products. On the other hand, cryptanalysis exploiting the vulnerability of such systems on implementation is drawing much attention in recent years. In particular, side-channel attack based on side-channel information, such as power consumption and electromagnetic emanation, is of practical threat due to the relatively-reasonable attack cost and the non-destructive property. This tutorial paper presents an overview of side-channel attacks and countermeasure and introduces the recent research topics. |
