Vergence Eye movements induced by Visual motion stimulus

Abstract(in English) Radial flow motion using the sine wave contrast shaped circular pattern, induced short-latency vergence eye movements. The induced vergence eye movements were observed even if it was masked over 50 % of CRT. Expansion motion at the opposite half visual field induced eye movement toward the inner side. And covered eye had moved very small angle toward the opposite direction. It looks the visual information projected onto the outer part of the retina (opposite side field) played the much important than the information from the inner part of the retina.
