Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Cortical dipole imaging has been proposed as a method to visualize electroencephalogram (EEG) in high spatial resolution. In the present study, we aimed to improve the accuracy of the cortical dipole imaging by focusing on the filtering property when solving the inverse problem. We proposed an inverse filter that optimizes the filtering property using a sigmoid function. The ability of the proposed inverse filter was compared with the traditional methods, such as Tikhonov regularization, the truncated singular value decomposition (TSVD), and the truncated total least squares (TTLS) in a computer simulation. The proposed inverse filter was applied to human experimental data of visual evoked potentials. As a result, the estimation accuracy was improved by our method.
