A Study of Received Frame Sharing Protocol for Collaborative Interference Cancellation

Abstract(in English) Let us assume that space division multiplexing (SDM) signal without precoding is transmitted at a base station (BS) with a number of antennas to mobile stations (MSs) with fewer antennas. It will be intractable for a MS to decode the SDM signal by linear space filtering in the case of less degrees of freedom at the MS. Collaborative interference cancellation (CIC) can be applied to decode the SDM signal with the enhancement of degrees of freedom at the MS by sharing other SDM signals received at the surrounding MSs with higher frequency band wireless communications. Short slot reservation time division multiple access (SSR-TDMA) with the function of carrier sense helps it to gain the medium access control (MAC) efficiency at the higher frequency band. In this manuscript, we propose a frame aggregation scheme incorporated into the SSR-TDMA protocol and show the enhancement of the MAC efficiency.
