Abstract(in English) | In this report, we focus on the cloud bursting scenario of hybrid cloud systems, in which an on-premise application system runs in a private data center and bursts into a public data center when total demand surpasses the private data center capacity due to demand spikes. In this scenario, we can reduce the total cost of an application system in the hybrid cloud environment (called a hybrid cloud system) and meet response time constraints, as long as we can successively predict the demand for the system and deploy minimum computing resources for maintaining the constraints in advance. Through numerical simulations with demand prediction using ARIMA model, we evaluated the total cost and response time of a hybrid cloud system. Under our settings, the total cost decreased by about 50% compared to the case of the application system deployed in a private data center alone. We also showed a trade-off between the ratio of time slots exceeding response time constraints and the total cost. |
