Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Wireless smart utility network (Wi-SUN) systems based on IEEE 802.15.4g are used for smart metering systems, traffic sensing or disaster prevention. In Japan, 920 MHz band is assigned for Wi-SUN systems and the maximum transmission power is 250 mW. This paper reports field experimental results of IEEE 802.15.4g based system in urban area with the testing wireless equipment. The equipment is used on downlink and allowed to transmit 250 mW power. In our proposed system, it is assumed that each user equipment can not transmit more than 20 mW power on uplink. To realize the asymmetric communication it is proposed in this research to use high gain directional antennas at base station receiver.
