Abstract(in English) We have proposed Content Esoresso that is a global file sharing system especially for large files. Content Espresso adds FEC to the source file and divides them into packet size chunks and stores them on distributed storages. Client receives chunks over UDP and recovers undelivered chunks by using Forward Error Correction (FEC). When all FEC chunks are sent, many data losses can be recovered, but it is large bandwidth usages compared with the normal file transmission. In this paper we propose a redundant data selected transmission scheme for transmission reduction. We implemented this scheme to Content Espresso. We evaluated recovery success probability and decode time when using our scheme, and found that a high recovery success probability can be achieved even if transmission quantity was reduced.
