| Abstract(in English) | This paper describes our new corpus of Japanese Sign Language (JSL) on NHK news to study Japanese-Sign Language machine translation. A corpus is a collection of language phenomena in a real world and is useful in language research. Our conventional corpus mainly focused on manual signs. However facial information also plays an important roles in linguistic communication in sign language. We improve the corpus to include mouth patterns, one of facial information, which support manual communication. Moreover we carry out quantitative analysis using the improved corpus. |
