Modeling of interuser links in MU-MIMO systems using collaborative interference cancellation

Abstract(in English) Collaborative interference cancellation (CIC) technique is proposed for reducing interuser interference in multi-user multiple-input multiple-output (MU-MIMO) systems without increasing the number of antennas at user devices. The collaborative users (CUs) share the received signals which are equivalent to a single user equipped with multiple antennas at the receive side. However, the unsuccessful data sharing occurs in the presence of interfer- ence, and lead to packet errors, finally resulting in decreasing of the number of CUs and degrading the performance of the system. In this paper, we propose a model to simulate interuser links in MU-MIMO systems using CIC. By using this model, the performance of user collaboration effected by different interference power level can be evaluated. And also, this paper shows the performance of user collaboration effected by an interference source in field experiments. The results both from simulations and field experiments are compared.
