| Abstract(in English) | The fan-in (fan-out) devices which separate each core at an input and output end are needed for practical use of the multi-core fiber communication. In this time, we fabricated the fan-in (fan-out) device which is able to splice directly to multi-core fiber without optical connector by using fusion drawing method. From results of splice loss measurement, it was shown that matching of MFD between fan-in (fan-out) and multi-core fiber is important for reduction of splice loss. |
