Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) We have recently developed a chaotic cryptographic method based on theaugmented Lorenz equations. In our method, a symmetric secret key is assumed to be exchanged using a quantum key distribution between a transmitter and receiver, and message encryption is performed by superposing a plaintext on a chaotic sequence generated by running the augmented Lorenz equations specified by the secret key. In this report, we estimate the degree of randomness in the chaotic sequence in terms of the information entropy and discuss the security of our cryptographic method.
