User Interface Evaluation of Palm Vein Authentication for Mobile Devices

Abstract(in English) In recent years, palm vein authentication is widely spreading in use. And also mobile devices such as notebook PCs or tablet PCs have been applied in business scenes. As a result, there is a growing need for equipping a palm vein authentication sensor on the mobile device. In this paper, we report a user interface evaluation for a palm vein authentication sensor mounted to a mobile device. We set up several evaluation environments on a notebook PC changing sensor mounting position and authentication distance. We measured the actual distance and position of 15 subject's palm and evaluated them in the view of user interface.
