Abstract(in English) Recently, we proposed individual loss distribution measurement method “end-reflection assisted Brillouin analysis” for PON maintenance. In this paper, we demonstrate the proposed method in the field employing a frequency shift averaging technique to compensate for the variation in the Brillouin gain profile of installed optical cables.
