Abstract(in English) | Nowadays, an increase of traffic leads to large energy consumption. There are a lot of studies about energy efficient network control or network devices. On the other hand, A growing the size of digital contents, it is hard to predict the completion time of file transfer. Therefore, some bandwidth assignment methods have been proposed in a modelwhere a transfer request either must be completed by a specified deadlineor must be rejected if the deadline cannot be satisfied. However, existing methods do not concern about energy consumption in the network. In this paper, we propose a bandwidth assignment method which reduces energy consumption. This method decreases the number of active devicesby allocating maximum bandwidth to the request with the earliest deadlineand allocating a couple of requests which is not node exclusive but link exclusive at the same time. Finally, we evaluate the purposed method by simulation experiments. |
