Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In order to realize 5G radio access network with super high bit rate and high capacity, super high bit rate transmission is being investigated by introducing small cells using higher frequency bands based on Phantom Cell concept and applying Massive MIMO technology to a base station. In the previous study, the influence of nonlinear distortion caused by high power amplifiers (HPAs) on 20 GHz band 20 Gbps Massive MIMO OFDM transmission has been evaluated by computer simulations in terms of throughput and out-of-radiation and it has been clarified that the out-of-radiation requires the higher linearity and the input back off. This report shows effect of a peak-to-average power ratio (PAPR) reduction method based on clipping and filtering (CF) for Massive MIMO hybrid beamforming (BF) that combines digital precoding with sub-array type analog BF. Concretely, computer simulations show throughput performance and out-of-band radiation of the 20 Gbps transmission under the nonlinear distortion caused by the HPAs and it is clarified that CF can effectively reduce the out-of-band radiation and achieve over 20 Gbps throughput in the Massive MIMO hybrid BF transmission.
