[Invited Talk] Development of large-scale pressure sensor sheets

Abstract(in English) We have developed the large scale pressure sensor sheets by means of the printing technology, where the sheets were consist of a metal / piezoelectric layer / metal. To detect the pressure distribution, we have fabricated 1536 sensors arranged in a 32 by 48 array with a resolution of 1 cm2. The distribution of pressure strengths and points can be detected and displayed on the PC monitor. The polypeptide film has tendency to align the dipole moments inside the film after the fabrication. Thus, the polypeptide film is spontaneously polarized, and it results in the expression of piezoelectric properties. Recently, we have found the piezoelectric-like behavior of the electrospun polylactic acid film. The pressure sensing devices have also been developed.
