Abstract(in English) | Recently, ultra-low field (ULF) magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) has attracted attention. However, due to the low resonant frequency of magnetic resonant signals in ULF-MRI, signal detection with conventional receiver coils is very difficult. Therefore, it is necessary to increase voltage induced on a coil by winding more wire and selectively amplify the voltage by configuring an LC parallel resonant circuit tuned to the resonant frequency. In general, the circuit is matched to the characteristic impedance of a cable. The matching is, however, negligible in the low frequency range, since the wavelength of MR signal is over several kilometers. In addition, use of hyperpolarized Xe as a sample is helpful to increase MR signals, since nuclear spin polarizationis small in ULF-MRI . To verify these predictions, we carried out simulations to determine an optimal receiver coil and an LC parallel resonant circuit. This is beneficial for our development of an ULF-MRI with optically pumped atomic magnetometer as a sensor, in which remote detection of MR signals with the combination of a flux transformer is planned. |
