Abstract(in English) This paper conducts a performance comparison of magnetic coupling and electromagnetic coupling in parallel line fed wireless power transfer (WPT). In such a WPT system, standing waves occur in the parallel line because the line - which functions as the feeder – becomes a distributed element circuit. When magnetic coupling is employed for WPT, power transmission efficiency (PTE) fluctuates dynamically along the feeder due to magnetic field standing wave. However, due to the fact that electric and magnetic fields are out of phase by 90 degrees, an adequate combination of electric and magnetic coupling is a promising solution to stabilize the PTE. This paper investigates performances for magnetic coupling and electromagnetic coupling in parallel line fed WPT to show that electromagnetic coupling outperforms the conventional magnetic coupling under specific condition.
