Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Prolonged exposure to a temporal gap between multisensory stimuli induces the recalibration of subjective simultaneity. Whereas attention toward the temporal order of stimuli has been confirmed to modulate the recalibration pattern in the audiovisual domain, the role of attention in the sensorimotor domain remains unclear. In addition, the roles of temporal order judgment and simultaneity judgment on the adaptive process of subjective simultaneity also have not been investigated. We examined how attention to temporal order and simultaneity during exposure to vocal-auditory lag modulates the pattern of shift in subjective simultaneity in vocalization. We revealed that lag exposure with the attention toward temporal order induces temporal recalibration, while the attention toward simultaneity disturbs the adaptive process of subjective simultaneity.
