Evaluation of optimized CW scheme in unsaturated traffic network environment

Abstract(in English) Wireless LAN device/terminal are increased, causes congestion in wireless band. In addition, congestion causes the decrease in the communication quality. The carrier sense multiple access with collision avoidance (CSMA/CA) scheme is access control in IEEE802.11 standard of wireless LANs. CSMA/CA scheme is avoided packet collisions utilizing random transmission standby time called binary backoff algorithm, and random time is selected from the range of contention window (CW) size. But, selected CW size is not optimal in the number of terminals. We previous study, we calculated optimized CW size for number of contention terminals in congestion network environment. We confirmed effectiveness utilizing theoretical analysis and computer simulation of proposed scheme. In this paper, we evaluated the throughput characteristics in unsaturated traffic network environment. And, we proposal dynamically control scheme of optimized CW size for number of contention terminals on access point. We report able to confirmed the effectiveness of the proposed scheme in unsaturated traffic network environment.
