Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) The SBAS (satellite-based augmentation system), one of the GPS augmentation systems, has been implemented in the Japanese MSAS, the U.S. WAAS and the European EGNOS. The fourth SBAS, India's GAGAN (GPS Aided Geo Augmented Navigation), was launched in 2014. GAGAN is compliant with the standard SBAS and is compatible with other SBASs, thus SBAS users can use it seamlessly and expect improved interoperability of SBASs. This means that GAGAN is possibly used within Japanese territory for a certain implementation of recievers. This paper reports the evaluation of the receiving performance and the positioning accuracy using the GAGAN signal in Japan.
