[Invited Talk] Circuit Design Techniques for Low Power Energy Harvesting System

Abstract(in English) In this paper, we present the circuit design techniques for an efficient DC-DC boost converter, a MPPT (Maximum Power Point Tracking) circuit and an ultra low power digital circuits in Energy Harvesting System. We propose a new flip-flop architecture called CS2FF (Circuit Shared Static Flip Flop) for the low supply voltages such as near- or sub-threshold voltage. The CS2FF performs the power dissipate of 9.7 nW at 1-MHz clock frequency and 0.5-V power supply in 0.18-μm standard CMOS process. We also present an asynchronous circuit for the data path where is the complicated calculation logics. It is another solution for an ultra-low power circuit.
