Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) It is important for improvements of radio efficiency to schedule data transmission of sensor nodes cooperatively, especially, when different wireless sensor networks (WSNs) coexist. However, such cooperative control may be difficult among WSNs different operators manage because they have different operating policies. In this report, we propose a self-organized scheduling based on the pulse-coupled oscillator model for different WSNs that are located in an overlapped operating region each other. To this end, we first develope a phase response function that has attractors corresponding to time slots in WSNs. We then propose a scheduling mechanism based on it. Furthermore, to improve the data gathering efficiency, the proposed method stochastically chooses a time slot from vacant slots a sensor node observed during a data gathering cycle when data transmission collides. Through simulation-based evaluations, we show that the proposed method improves data gathering rate more than 20 % in a situation where multiple WSNs coexist.
