A Study on Multicast and Applications in Low-power and Lossy Networks

Abstract(in English) Primary multicast applications in low-power and lossy sensor networks are firmware update, configuration set-up, etc. They are required not to interfere main sensor data transmission in the network. Based on this supposition, we propose a multicast system where multicast messages are piggybacked on routing protocol in order to reduce total packet transmission. We also suggest a method to derive adequate transmission interval of multicast data by network simulation.
