Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In machine-to-machine (M2M) and device-to-device (D2D) communications, development of highly reliable real-time communication link is essential, especially for transmission of control information. Targeting such applications, in this paper, we propose a new physical layer architecture for uplink multiple access based on orthogonal frequency-division multiplexing (OFDM), which achieves high reliability and low peak-to-average power ratio (PAPR) with low computational complexity. Our approach is based on judicious combination of subcarrier hopping and super-orthogonal convolutional codes (SOCC) for achieving high coding gain and frequency diversity, together with Golay complementary sequence for low PAPR signaling. To improve the overall bandwidth efficiency, we introduce non-orthogonal multiple access where the subcarriers of different users are overlapped. Employing successive interference cancellation (SIC) at the receiver further mitigates the resulting multiple access interference.
