Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Structural health monitoring that continuously monitors structures, vehicles or machines, is useful for keeping their safety. The authors have been researching maintenance-free energy-harvesting wireless sensors and their platforms to save running cost for structural health monitoring. The production cost and power consumption are reduced by minimizing functions of the wireless sensors. The wireless sensors run on the energy harvested by vibration and actively send analog modulated sensing data. Sensed data recoding without demodulation enables to use radio space environment for future analysis. We have been researching radio space recorder that records radio without demodulation. We report the application of the recorder to wireless sensor monitoring and discuss the benefits and challenges in the application.
