[Poster Presentation] A low-complexity noise rejection method for high-accuracy energy detection on spectrum measurement

Abstract(in English) In this paper, we investigate a noise rejection method which corresponds to a part of post-processing of Fast Fourier Transform (FFT) based energy detector (ED) to achieve high spectrum measurement accuracy. Simple- Signal Area (S-SA) estimation method utilizes the FFT based ED outputs to improve the signal detection performance, however it inherently increases false alarms. For this problem, previous work use noise cancellation (NC) method and it has shown that S-SA estimation with NC method can furthermore improve the detection performance. In this paper, we proposed different noise rejection method, called L-shaped noise rejection method. A benefit of this method is that it can achieve less complexity while equivalent detection performance compared to the NC method can be achieved. We also showed the optimum parameters of L-shaped noise rejection method. Numerical evaluations showed some important aspects and the benefit of the proposed method.
