Abstract(in English) | In order to improve the accuracy of estimated electromagnetic material parameters in the free-space method with the Nicolson-Ross-Weir method, we employ a smooth-walled horn antenna as a horn antenna. First we design a smooth-walled horn antenna with low cross polarization using an optimization method. Then we show that, employing the antenna in the free-space method with time-domain gating, one can obtain the estimated material parameters with less deviation from the exact values than in use of a conical antenna. |
