Abstract(in English) Nowadays, wireless monitoring services for elders have become important with much attention. The 920 MHz band wireless multi-hop network is suitable for such monitoring applications to cover wide outdoor areas. This paper evaluates the performance of outdoor positioning in a 920 MHz wireless network. The prototypes of relaying base stations and beacon transmitters are introduced. A result of positioning accuracy of an experiment in the university campus is discussed, where four base stations are located on the wall surfaces of the buildings.
