Abstract(in English) Multi-band antennas have been popularly used as base station antennas for mobile communications systems. In this research , as a configuration that can integrate the antenna working at 3.5GHz, which is the newly assigned frequency band for mobile communication systems, into the current multi-band base station antennas, we proposed the use of Frequency Selective Reflection (FSR) for 3.5GHz band antenna. This report investigates the influence of the FSR element shapes on the radiation pattern when the FSR is used as the reflector of the reflector backed dipole antenna. Three shapes, Gang Buster, Jerusalem Cross, and Square Loop are considered as the FSR element shapes. Radiation patterns are compared and the appropriate FSR element configuration to form sector radiation pattern is shown.
