Abstract(in English) This paper describes a transaural system using directivity control of a regular icosahedron loudspeaker array. The transaural system can localize an arbitrary sound image for a listener by reproducing the independent sounds at each ear with loudspeakers. However, because the system requires crosstalk cancelers, which are designed with multiple-point control, it is sensitive to the listening position. To overcome this problem, we investigate if the crosstalk component can be suppressed with the null beamformer of a loudspeaker array. First, a prototype regular icosahedron loudspeaker array was made with a 3D printer. Next, we confirmed that the directivity of a regular icosahedron loudspeaker array is capable of suppressing crosstalk components. The reproducing signals for the left and right ears are calculated by convoluting the beamformer signals with the look-direction of each ear and a head-related transfer function. The subjective evaluations we conducted showed that our system localized sound images.
