| 抄録(英) | In this paper, we evaluate error-correcting performance of some Irregular Repeat Accumulate （IRA）codes, a class of Low Density Parity Check (LDPC) codes, generated under our proposed algorithm. We first reviewour proposed algorithm [10] which can construct Tanner graphs with arbitrarily chosen degrees of variable nodesand check nodes. Using this algorithm, we construct various types of IRA codes whose Tanner graphs have distinctdegrees of check nodes (while degrees of variable nodes are fixed according to [7]). We then examine error-correctingperformance of these IRA codes over a Binary Erasure Channel (BEC) by using Bit Error Rate (BER) and CodewordError Rate (CER). From the examination, we see that not only variable node degrees but also check nodedegree can affect the performance of codes, and furthermore, we can find a better code than code in [7]. |
