| Abstract(in English) | In this article, the authors propose a method that describes the structures of contours in pathologicalimages of the pancreas for the purpose of registration between the pathological images or between a CT/MR imageand the corresponding pancreas ones. You can observe various sizes of anatomical structures in a microscopic image, and the authors believe that explicit description of the contours of the anatomical structures, such as blood vessels、is useful for the registration. The proposed method firstly detects edge points using the spatial third derivatives ofimage intensities and then fits Euler curves to the edge points for constructing curve segments from the detectededges. Using downsampling based multiresolution analysis, the authors construct the curve segments efficiently. The experimental results obtained by applying the method to pathological images of the pancreases are reported. |
