Abstract(in English) | Recently, an access-point (AP) has increased the communication speed by adopting the IEEE802.11ac protocol. This protocol allows MU-MIMO (Multi-User Multi-Input-Multi-Output) that can transmit different packets to multiple nodes simultaneously. MU-MIMO can make the link speeds to these nodes constant by using the transmission power control scheme. We have studied the application of this IEEE802.11ac protocol to the Wireless Internet-access Mesh NETwork (WIMNET) that is composed of multiple access-points connected through wireless links. In order to evaluate the performance of WIMNET using the transmission power control of MU-MIMO, in this paper, we present an extension of the WIMNET simulator that has been developed by our group. We evaluate throughputs of WIMNET through simulations with/without MU-MIMO or the transmission power control under different number of hosts using the extended WIMNET simulator. |
