Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In recently, multi-function mobile phones such as smart phone have been spread, online shopping with non-face to face by using browse and application software of smart phone is becoming popular. In making with confidence such transaction, authentication of owner is important and the biometrics is an effective method to solve it. In this research, it is aimed for the development of the personal authentication system by the hand-written sign on smartphones. Screen of smart phone is small to write and smartphone cannot acquire the handwriting information of values validated by the authentication such as the pressure of the pen. The sign of not the full name but "TUS" as one example was used, and we suggest the method that one stroke of sign was divided in the segment and authentication system uses writing speed and writing angle of each segment as feature quantities for authentication. As a result using handwritten sign by 10 smartphone owners, it is found that EER could be improved from 16.0% to 11.0% in comparison with the conventional method.
