Indoor Real-time Tracking of Multiple Moving-Personsin Multipath Environment Using MIMO Doppler Radar

Abstract(in English) Recently, sensing technique of persons has been attracting attention for man-location monitoring and security purpose. There are many kinds of systems for the purpose. Radio sensor system is one of the promising systems among them. However, in the indoor measurements, radio sensor system sometimes hard to use location estimation because of severe multipath reflections by the wall and furniture. The target echo will be masked by the strong multipath waves. In order to solve this problem, we propose to apply Doppler filtering method to remove these undesired responses, or to extract the desired responses, assuming that the human targets are moving. In addition, we considered tracking of moving-persons using tracking filter for the purpose of achieving it in real-time because tracking of moving-persons is also an important problem for the man-location monitoring. In this paper, we will show availability of real-time tracking of moving-persons in indoor multipath environment using tracking filter by experiment.
