Abstract(in English) | this paper presents the design approach for small sells based on the parameters of micro sell system, and provides its user throughput performance. System level simulation results such as average user throughput and the 5-percentile user throughput performance are provided for several different types of small cells. The issue of how to decide the system parameters for small cells including transmission power and antenna height is clarified. We also evaluate the performance to verify the observations by changing the antenna height. Furthermore, the possibility of the increase of system capacity using small cells is also investigated by comparing with a micro cell system in the simulation under conditions of increased user equipment density. This study is effective for designing small cells in future mobile communication systems. |
