An Implementation to Tablet PC of Data Extraction for Data Embedding to Printed Images and Its Evaluation

Abstract(in English) A technique of embedding and detecting data for a printed image based on the data diffusion has been proposed and attracts an attention as a method for information retrieval from a printed material by a mobile device. This paper reports an implementation method of the detecting method to the tablets with Android OS and its evaluation for execution times and detection rates. In this case, the program by Matlab is converted and redesigned to run under Android OS with OpenCV for Android. Two kinds of tablet PCs with the different performance are used for the implementation and evaluation. From these results, it is shown that the detection technique by the mobile device can be used in the real environment.
