Supporting System for Quizzes in Descriptive Answer Style

Abstract(in English) Lecturers use quizzes to grasp students' understandings and make effective improvement of their class. But, it is hard in large classes. We have developed a supporting system for teachers to do quizzes in descriptive answer style effectively in large classes. The system collects, analyzes, and provides answers to make lecturers easy to grasp major answers without special preparations. In this article, we aim to extend the system to provide more helpful information to lecturers. We propose a method to extract descriptions that are related to students' insufficient understandings. We are focused on the process of typing answers, especially suspended periods. The method extracts descriptions by analyzing change of each answer after suspended typing. We applied the method for real typing process and got descriptions that are related to students' insufficient understandings.
