Performance evaluation of ARIB STD-T103 VHF broadband mobile communication systems

Abstract(in English) VHF broadband mobile communication systems have been investigated for wider coverage area than conventional cellular phone network area. The authors have proposed and evaluated receiving schemes for transmitter based on ARIB STD-T103 Mode 1. In ARIB STD-T103 Mode 2 system was standardized to cope with multipath fading environments on VHF and to achieve higher speed communication than Mode 1 but few studies focused on receiving schemes for Mode 2. This paper proposed the schemes and shows the bit error rate performance of ARIB STD-T103 Mode 2 under highly mobile multipath fading environments using computer simulation.
