Stabilization of Nonequilibrium Target State in Population Games Using Capitation Tax and Subsidy

Abstract(in English) In a large population which consists of many selfish players, their selfish strategy selection may lead an undesirable population state for the whole population. To resolve such a problem, a government which controls the population by imposing capitation taxes on and offering subsidies to players has been introduced. Dynamical behaviors of strategy distributions of the population are modeled by replicator dynamics, and the stabilization condition of the desirable target state has been shown. In previous work, however, the candidates of the target state are restricted to equilibrium points of replicator dynamics without the capitation tax and the subsidy. Therefore, in this paper, we propose a distribution method of the subsidy to make any target state an equilibrium point of replicator dynamics. In this method, we can select not only equilibrium but also nonequilibrium points of replicator dynamics without the tax and the subsidy as the target state. We also derive asymptotically stabilization conditions of the target state.
