Weight Optimization for Image Integration and Restoration

Abstract(in English) To restore an image degraded by sensor noise or quantization error, multiple image integration is an effective and powerful approach. However, it is a challenging problem to provide optimal weight map for integration. In this report, we introduce a novel weight optimization scheme for multiple image integration via convex optimization. To show the capability of the proposed weight optimization scheme, we apply it to the image restoration problems that is denoising and super-resolution. Experimental results show that the proposed weight optimization scheme outperforms conventional methods.
