Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Nearly a quarter century has passed since Makimoto’s Wave was introduced to the public in 1991. In the meantime, the semiconductor technology has made steady innovations, and contributed to opening the new applications such as smartphone or tablet PC. We are now enjoying the new lifestyle thanks to these innovations. The initial version of the Wave covered the range up to 2007 which is already gone. In this paper the extension of the wave will be made up to 2027, and new outlook will be presented.
