Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) This paper presents the development of electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) toolkit for undergraduate laboratory. The objective is to provide the understanding of root cause of electromagnetic interference (EMI) and their solution for undergraduate students. The concept of EMC control and Buddhist precept are mapping. Buddhist precept describes how to solve people problem by wickedness suppressing, keep goodness and clean your mind respectively comparing to their EMC control on suppressing noise source, increasing victim immunity and good coupling on filtering/shielding . The Basic power electronic converter is demonstrated for both conducted and radiated emission control. Step by step of conducted control based on EMI filter is introduced. The loop area effect in print circuit board provides the significant EMI radiation demonstration. The study of surge source and its solution in power supply unit is introduced. The shield technique for 50 Hz frequency using mu-metal sheet results a clear shielding effectiveness of this material. Finally, horizon idea on EMC control using EMC toolkit associated with Buddhist precept is a guideline on EMC understanding.
