Bending characteristics of hetero-core fiber optics single-mode sensor with high refractive index coating

Abstract(in English) This report presents that we tested bending characteristic effect of a hetero-core fiber optics single-mode based bending sensor which we have proposed due to high-refractive index coating around the hetero-core portion. The diameter combination and insertion length in the hetero-core portion are considered to affect the bending sensitivity and linearity of hetero-core fiber SM sensor due to the cladding mode. Therefore, we tried to remove the fluctuation effect of bending property by means of coating thin film with the high refractive index.
