Prototype Development and Operation for A Drone with Disaster Information Collection Function

Abstract(in English) At the time of disaster, a local government needs to immediately grasp the state of victims and damages. A drone is expected to obtain such information promptly as one of useful tools in disaster situation. So far, we have developed a drone with a sensor function in addition to a video function as a prototype for collecting disaster information. We also have demonstrated the usefulness of the drone in experiments. In this paper, we first describe the making of the drone. As the drone flies in the air, it can provide various advantages, but safe operation is highly required. There is, however, no safe operation manner at present. Then, we also introduce a case of our operation manner for information sharing and discussion of the drone operation.
