Abstract(in English) | In the Global Positioning System(GPS), calculation of position determination is carried out by multiplying the velocity of light wave and a time difference between a GPS satellite and a receiver. In the urban environment where large and high buildings are surrounded around roads, multipath signals from satellites which include inevitable delays shall degrade the accuracy of the position determination because the measurement range (pseudo range) includes a distance error. Moreover, visibility of the satellite constellation is restricted in the urban area that condition produces large position error also. In this study, outdoor experimentation was conducted by using GPS receiver in order to evaluation the validity of proposed fundamental simulation model which includes an influence of multipath environments in the GPS system. Further, relationship between pseudo-range deviations caused by multipath receiving signals and satellite consternation were also reported. |
