Height Power Estimation for DTV based on Measurements in Urban Environment

Abstract(in English) In this paper, we discuss a prediction model of the received power depending on the receiver antennaheight in urban environments. Propagation models play a key role for supporting Secondary User (SU) to correctlyevaluate the received power of the Primary User (PU) system. The model can help to determine the interferencetoward PU's system. However, conventional propagation models may cause large estimation error in urban environ-ment. Although by measurement based Radio Environment Database using measurement device setting on vehiclesand smart phones it is possible to make a estimation in a real environment at ground level of the receiver locationpoint, the measurement in higher altitude is difficult. We proposes a received power prediction method with com-bining ground and urban boundary-layer height based Radio Environment Database to estimate the received powerof PU signal at higher attitude point. Through experiments, we can con rm that the proposed method signi cantlyreduces estimation error.
